How does it work?

It’s simple!

1. Bring a tab into the shower and crush in the palm of your hand

2. Add a few drops of water and rub until a paste is formed

3. Apply to wet hair, lather, and rinse like normal!

Here are some tips:

-You only need to add a little bit of water to your hand after you crush in order to make a paste.

-Don’t worry if it doesn’t foam up in your hand - Most of the lathering happens once it’s in your hair!

-Once applied to your hair, keep adding water to get a good lather going. More water = more lather.

Is one tab enough?

Our shampoo tabs are small, but they provide a surprising amount of lather! One tab is enough for most people. If you have very short hair, you may want to use half a tab, and if you have very long hair (or just want a deep cleanse), you can use 2 tabs.

Can the container go in the shower?

The paper container is not meant to go in the shower, and should be kept away from moisture. We recommend storing them in a dry area like a bathroom cabinet. When you’re ready to shower, just bring one tab in with you. It’s a slight adjustment to your routine, but as with many plastic-free swaps, the change in habit is worth it and becomes normal to your routine in now time - we promise!

Are Mirage Shampoo Tabs safe for color treated hair?

Yes! They are sulfate free and safe for all hair types - including colored hair.

Do I still need to use conditioner?

Many people find that they do not need a conditioner after using our shampoo tabs, however you may want to follow with a conditioner if you need it. We are working on adding a conditioner product soon, so stay tuned!
